The month of April has loads going on, so we thought we would offer up some suggestions for how you can use this month’s key dates in your business.
Offer Stress-Free Treatments
Of course, all treatments should be stress-free but as April is National Stress Awareness Month, it’s a great time to promote some of your more relaxing treatments. It’s a fact that massages and facials are proven ways to help relieve the symptoms of stress, so this is a great angle for promotion.
You could offer free neck and shoulder massage with all SkinBase microdermabrasion facials this month or even a small discount when a facial and massage are booked together. There are many options when it comes to enticing new and existing clients, just ensure that you are still making a profit at the end of the day.
Have a Laugh with April Fools’ Day
April Fools’ Day is a tough one as you don’t want to offend or put clients off. But there is an angle there to engage with clients who have a sense of humour. An interesting way to get traffic to your website or social media channels could be to introduce a fake product or service. Create a ridiculous treatment with a hilarious name and use a call to action for people to click to book, and then when they do, they’re taken to a page that says April Fools’. You could use the landing page to offer an incentive or a small discount to mark the occasion.
National Siblings Day
You could market your services to siblings on National Siblings Day on April 10th. Offer a complimentary hydrating mask when two people book a SkinBase treatment.
Why not create a ‘sibling package’ that is specifically tailored for two people? Maybe offer a glass of fizz as part of the package to make the experience more special.
Easter dates
You could offer promotions for the Easter holidays and even give out complimentary mini eggs as a thank you to anyone who has a procedure during this time. Key Easter dates are:
19th April – Good Friday
21st April- Easter Sunday
22nd April – Easter Monday (bank holiday)
Other Notable Dates
April is a busy month, and there are a few other big dates to consider working into your marketing plan. These include:
26th April – On your feet Britain – promote your microdermabrasion pedicures or foot massages. Just think about any of the products and services you offer for feet and look at how you can tie them into this national day.
28th April – London Marathon – even if you’re not based in London, you can still create a bit of a buzz around the marathon. Again, focusing on foot treatments would make the most sense. Alternatively, an all over body massage could also be relevant in conjunction with this event. We imagine 26 miles might leave the entire body needing some tlc!
