Offer a January Slump “Sale”

During December promote discounted treatments on specific days. This will encourage clients to branch out and try new things. Everyone wants to start a new year with positive resolutions. Remember you’re not the only one looking to spruce things up during the January slump. Your clients are feeling it too! To avoid any disappointment, make sure they understand when the treatments are valid until.

Themed Packages

Pick a New Year’s rejuvenation theme. Perhaps “New Year, New You”  or “Ready for 2023” and offer a New Year rejuvenation package. Consider adding some luxury touches like a glass of bubbly or a free hand massage with every facial.  Think about teaming up with a nutritionist. You can put together a package that includes healthy eating tips.
February is also a quiet month so think about offering a special Valentine’s preparation package. Offer couples’ services so they can treat the loves of their lives. Pampering and Valentine’s day go hand-in-hand.

January Event

January is the best time for an event – because you’re not rushed off your feet. An event will pull people in and help you to avoid the January slump. It will also help clients beat the January blues. Invite high-spending clients, give them demos and a taste of any new treatments. Consider adding a goodie bag with some free samples of your products. This will spark excitement and encourage them to book in the future. They will also feel valued.

Promote Early

Use the busy festive period to promote all the January offers while the salon is full. Offering them in January will be too late. With a little creativity your clients will be excited to start the new year trying new treatments and packages. This will help keep your books full. Don’t let the post-Christmas blues get the better of you, or your clients. They will start the new year with a spring in their step and your January slump will turn into a boost.
