What is Microdermabrasion?
A type of exfoliation, MD supports skin rejuvenation by removing the superficial outer layer (the epidermis) of skin. Tiny abrasive crystals spray from a handheld device sloughing away the dead skin cells. A vacuum sucks up the debris clearing away any grime. The tiny crystals exfoliate the surface of the skin, leaving a clearer, more even skin tone.
How it helps with acne
Acne forms when dead skin cells and excess oil clog pores. Bacteria then feeds off this and forms into acne. Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates while removing any debris, to unclog pores and exposes the fresh, new skin underneath.
