What to Expect During an IPL Treatment

During an IPL treatment, your SkinBase therapist uses a combination of a flash handset that emits light pulses, and a unique cryo-cooling handset. The cooling handset is first used on the skin to prep the area for treatment, and ensure maximum comfort. Then, the flash handset is used to target the light energy into the skin. You will feel a cold sensation while the cooling handset is being used, and a warmer sensation when the flash handset is used. It should not be painful, and is often described as similar to an elastic band snapping gently onto the skin.
