What Qualifications Do You Need for SkinBase Training?
Your training requirements will depend on the SkinBase system you choose and the qualifications your insurer requires.
- Microdermabrasion: Free SkinBase Microdermabrasion training is available to therapists with entry-level beauty qualifications.
- Hydro: If you already have the MDPro system, you can add on your Hydro handset with free, online training.
- Collagen Lift: SkinBase Collagen Lift radio-frequency training is available to more experienced therapists.
- IPL: SkinBase Intense Pulsed Light training is available to more experienced therapists. Each SkinBase IPL clinic must also have a designated IPL Supervisor, and we provide the additional training required for this role.

What Does SkinBase Treatment Training Cover?
Your SkinBase training takes place with a qualified, experienced trainer. It includes a treatment demonstration and time to become familiar with operating your chosen system safely and effectively.
During training, you will learn how to:

- Perform the treatment using the appropriate techniques.
- Assess individual clients’ skincare requirements.
- Tailor treatments to suit their needs.

Where Does SkinBase Practical Training Take Place?
SkinBase offers practical training at various locations, including the opportunity to train in your own salon. You can also attend our dedicated training facility at SkinBase HQ in Stoke-on-Trent.

What Certification Will You Receive?
On completion of your training, you will receive SkinBase certification and your “SkinBase Authorised Professional” lapel badge.
Your certification recognises that you have completed training for your chosen SkinBase system, while your badge helps you show clients that you are a trained SkinBase professional.
Training Manuals and Ongoing Support
Your support continues after your training day. You will have a full training manual to refer back to as you put your new skills into practice.
Our dedicated team is also available seven days a week to provide post-training support. Whether you need guidance on your system or advice as you begin treating clients, help is available throughout your SkinBase partnership.
