What To Expect During a Collagen Lift Treatment
Are you wondering what to expect during a Collagen Lift treatment? You will definitely find out each of the stages during your consultation with your SkinBase Therapist. If you can’t wait until then – here’s everything you need to know.
(1) Consultation
During your consultation, you can discuss your specific skin care needs and skin history with your therapist. This enables your therapist to determine your suitability for the treatment. Once your therapist has confirmed that the treatment is the best course of action for your skin, you will be able to discuss how many treatments you need, and the frequency you can commit to. Esch of these factors will allow you to achieve the best results. It is likely your therapist will recommend a course of six, either once a week for 6 weeks, or twice a week for three weeks.
(2) Prepare the Skin
After the completed consultation, the first stage of the actual treatment is to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, with the SkinBase Exfoliating Cleanser with AHA. You can find the product in the SkinBase shop here if you would like to add it to your own routine. Once the skin is clean, your SkinBase Therapist will apply conductive gel to the treatment area. The conductive gel allows the ceramic wand to glide across the skin, allowing smooth movements and the best results.
(3) Collagen Lift
During the Collagen Lift treatment, the ceramic wand moves in continuous circles. Your therapist may reapply conductive gel where necessary, to ensure the smoothest contact between the wand and the skin. The wand builds heat, thoroughly warming the skin. It is a comfortable, relaxing treatment, similar to a hot stone massage. The heat slowly increases throughout the treatment. Your therapist will check in with you to ensure it remains tolerable for your skin.
(4) Post-Treatment Aftercare
After the Collagen Lift treatment, you can expect the treatment area to be cleansed again to remove any residual conductive gel. Once the skin is clean, a soothing moisturiser and SPF is applied to the skin. You can also find these products in the SkinBase shop. Once you leave after your treatment, ensure you are drinking plenty of water and following the aftercare provided by your SkinBase therapist.
