IPL Photo facial

What is an IPL photo facial?

Photorejuvenation is the broad term used to describe the treatment of photo-ageing which includes wrinkles, pigmentation and age spots. IPL treatment encourages the skin to repair itself and produce new cells and increase its collagen production.

Sun damage from UV exposure is a major factor in skin ageing. Unfortunately, our desire to have tanned skin has only resulted in us ageing more quickly. Even everyday facial movements like frowning can result in fine lines appearing. These deepen into wrinkles over time. An IPL Photofacial aims to address these issues; stimulating the skin’s natural processes and reversing the effects of ageing, giving you a youthful appearance free of the telltale signs of advancing years.

It is a very effective and non-invasive form of treatment and therefore requires no downtime. A SkinBase IPL photorejuvenation treatment will not only remove pigmentation and sun damage but also improve skin tone and reduce wrinkles.

Benefits

  • Reduces facial wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Treats sun damage, age spots, brown pigmentation and solar lentigines.
  • Great for improving skin tone.
  • Provides a smoother appearance to the skin.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend a course of 3-6 treatments. Your therapist will space the treatments 2-3 weeks apart. Photo facials will help with pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles
