Leesa’s background before starting SkinBase was as a very successful beauty salon owner. Leesa entered the beauty industry after completing a degree in Biological Sciences at Warwick University. Looking to find a solution to unreliable salon equipment, Leesa’s passion for beauty and skincare led her to change direction yet again. Starting SkinBase with her brother Richard, SkinBase was and still is dedicated to providing reliable and fully-supported equipment. We have a team of technicians on site and our technical support is available 7 days a week.

Profession: SkinBase Founder and Senior Trainer
SkinBase was created by siblings Richard Faulkner and Leesa Keys in 2005. From humble beginnings, the business has grown to become the leading provider of microdermabrasion treatments in the UK & Ireland. A network of more than 2,000 therapists nationwide offering SkinBase treatments. Operating from its Talke-based factory, SkinBase specialises in the manufacture and distribution of professional microdermabrasion, intense pulsed light and radio frequency equipment and treatments. A mum of three young boys, Leesa is the lead trainer and works closely with all the UK therapists, training them on the correct use of the machines. Having previously owned a salon herself, Leesa is qualified in medical aesthetics and her knowledge is crucial to the development of the business and the training courses SkinBase therapists complete.

Recently at The National Beauty Awards, the business picked up “Best Advanced Treatment” for the second consecutive year as well as ‘Best Customer Support’, ‘Best Use of Social Media’ and ‘Best Training Provider’ – for which Leesa’s contribution was pivotal.
