We have had lots of Apprentices over the years and we really think work experience is a great way to learn important skills that a classroom alone just can’t teach. So, as it’s National Apprenticeship week we wanted to introduce you to our latest Apprentice here at SkinBase with a little interview we carried out with Billy. We also talked to our graduate apprentice Jack. Here’s what they had to say:
Meet the Apprentice
Name: Billy Hopkinson, age 18
Job Title: Apprentice Electrical Engineer
What made you decide to start an Apprenticeship?
I liked the idea of being able to earn and learn at the same time.
What have you enjoyed most so far about your apprenticeship?
learning a variety of different skills
What are you hoping to do after you have completed the apprenticeship?
Hoping to get a permanent full-time position at SkinBase as I really enjoy working for this company.
What advice would you give to anyone else thinking of doing an Apprenticeship?
Make sure it is something you really want to do.
