What can we do about cellulite?

Cellulite can be a nightmare for women of all shapes and sizes, and the more we hear from our clients about their experiences with our Radio Frequency treatments, the more convinced we become that we are the solution. We have seen some absolutely amazing results recently using Radio Frequency to help with cellulite. So how does it do it?

What is cellulite anyway?

Cellulite is caused when connective fibres underneath the skin become weak or lose their elasticity, allowing the fat underneath to pillow out and cause an uneven visual effect. This means that eliminating it is difficult, even with a good diet and exercise, and it’s virtually impossible to do anything using creams, oils or massage alone.

How Radio Frequency can help

Radio Frequency is proven to smooth, tighten, lift and tone the skin. Results can be seen instantly, and your skin can continue to improve for as long as three months afterwards! So here’s what it does:

  • Realigns elastin fibres to tighten and tone.
  • Breaks down fatty deposits to reduce uneven texture.
  • Increases blood circulation so that fatty deposits are drained through the lymphatic system.
  • Boosts collagen to strengthen the skin’s structural system.

How does it do all that?!

We know it’s a pretty miraculous-sounding list, but hear us out. The science behind Radio Frequency is remarkably simple once you know it. During the treatment, your therapist uses a handset to deliver waves of energy deep into the skin. These energy waves heat up the tissue to a harmless temperature, but a temperature that’s high enough to initiate a healing response in the body. The healing response involves flooding the skin with new collagen, realigning the elastin fibres, stimulating circulation and increasing lymphatic drainage. The result of this is that your skin becomes smoother, firmer and more lifted. Radio Frequency can also have a temporary slimming effect by helping to reduce fat cells! This is a result of the lymphatic drainage and circulation stimulation and combined with a good diet and regular exercise, Radio Frequency can even aid in the breakdown of fatty deposits.
