Do You Need Eye Cream?
The simple answer is yes, you do. That’s if you want to maintain your youthful glow. The skin under our eyes is different. Eye creams are specifically designed for the delicate, sensitive, thin skin. With the fewest oil-producing glands on the body, this area is also the most prone to wrinkles. These types of creams tend to be lighter in texture, with active ingredients that help to target specific concerns.
Eye Concerns
Most of us are affected by different eye issues:

- Dark circles
- Puffiness
- Fine lines and wrinkles
We want to protect, hydrate and brighten this area for a healthy appearance – but be careful which cream you choose and what it claims to do. The nature of your concern should determine which you choose. Some causes of under eye concerns – e.g. dark circles – cannot be helped by creams. They are usually caused by other factors like genes or lifestyle choices e.g. lack of sleep. Some may even influenced by your bone structure.
Lifestyle
Sleep habits, gut health and stress levels also have a direct impact on the skin. Combine healthy habits with the right product and that fragile skin can start to improve. Never forget SPF because this helps to prevent the breakdown of collagen and elastin. Many of us avoid the eye area for fear of our eye balls stinging, but it’s just as important as the rest of your face.
Application
When applying your favourite product, use your ring finger to spread it on your skin – and don’t use too much product. Blend upwards in gentle strokes right around your orbital bone for best absorption. Find the right formula for you and those bags and wrinkles will start to disappear.
