Memory Boosting Bloody Mary

This anti-ageing drink combines turmeric with savoury tomato juice for a skin-saving twist on a classic cocktail. If you’re a fan of the Bloody Mary, make a few tweaks to the traditional recipe and you can enjoy the delicious flavour of the drink while enjoying the benefits of its ingredients! Tomato juice can help balance the skin’s pH and turmeric is great for brightening skin and is packed with antioxidants!

  • 1 tbsp kale
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz tomato juice
  • 1 celery stick, for garnish

Purée kale, using a blender or food processor, and grate ginger into a bowl.

Combine puréed kale, ginger, ground pepper and turmeric into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Add vodka and tomato juice, and shake. Strain over glass filled with ice, and garnish with celery before serving.

Blackberry And Vodka Lemonade

This refreshing anti-ageing drink gives the plain old vodka lemonade a nice boost of antioxidants with blackberries! Personally I think blackberries are one of the most underrated berries and wish they’d show up more in drinks! If you look at the ingredient list, you’ll notice that it calls for 2 ounces of yuzu juice, which is an Asian citrus fruit. If you can’t find it, I highly doubt that excluding it would ruin the recipe, so no worries!

  • 2 ounce yuzu juice
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce agave nectar
  • 3 ounce vodka
  • 1 handful of muddled blackberries

Mix together and enjoy!

Heart Smart Cooler

  • 2-3 leaves basil
  • 1/2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 oz green tea
  • 4 oz seltzer water

The fruits as well as the red wine contain antioxidants and a host of other nutrients that make this cocktail one of the healthiest drinks around!

  • 1 (8- ounce) can pineapple chunks packed in 100% juice, with juice

Combine the wine, orange liqueur, orange and lime slices, and the entire can of pineapple, including the juice, in a large pitcher. Stir, and store in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight).

To serve, strain out the soaked fruit if desired. Pour the chilled seltzer into the pitcher, and stir to combine with the wine. Serve over ice, and garnish with fresh sliced fruit.
