Girl crush? Well Scar-Jo has to be up there at the top. This girl always manages to look effortlessly beautiful. A mixture of good genes and her top beauty tips keep this stunner looking impeccable, always. And the good news is, we have some of her beauty tips to share, thanks to one of our favourite reads, Elle Magazine. Enjoy.
Scarlett told Elle Magazine: “It’s all about balance, and that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to choose one thing over the other”.
“Sometimes it’s nice just to be minimal and be fresh, and other times you can wear a red dress and red lipstick and it looks great.”
So come on Scarlett, what are your tips?
Nobody does the sexy, smouldering smoky eye look like our Scarlett. Here is how she achieves it if you feel like giving it a go at home:
“Use your brushes dry if you want colour to be softer. Or wet your brushes if you want defined colour. I go through periods where I like to apply everything with a brush-the trick is to make sure they are really clean.”
Luscious lips, she got ‘em. Try at home with this lipstick tip:
“Some people put a colour corrector around the lips if their lipstick bleeds. If you really want to go for it, rim the lips with a highlighter. That’s very dramatic.”
Let’s try au naturel:
“I’m not particularly high maintenance. Day to day, I like to wear some sort of tinted moisturiser, mascara, and maybe a bronzer.” A bit wary of going au naturel or God forbid, make up free? Our blog titled ‘5 simple ways to look good without make up‘ will help you make that step. Be confident!
The face of Dolce & Gabbana, how did she achieve that amazing look:
“I had fiery hair, and we did a red lip with a smoky eye. I think it was the first time I was like, ‘Is this too much?’ But I realised that a strong lip and a strong eye don’t have to be mutually exclusive.”
Need more guidance on perfecting the immaculate red lip? We’ve got a blog for that!
And we’ve all been there – getting made up last minute before some sparkly soiree:
“I take off my concealer under the eye, a little around my nose, and refresh those areas with new foundation” she says. “I always carry a red lipstick, you never know when you’ll need it.”
Thanks Scarlett, if it’s good enough for you, we will be sure to try these tips at home. And on that note pass me the red lipstick, tinted moisturiser and smoky eyeshadow –NOW!
