Aside from the obvious, there are many great reasons to take a bath. And I say, “bath,” instead of shower, because the benefits to actually filling up a tub of water is much more beneficial. Read on to learn more about the reasons to take a bath, instead of a shower.
It will relax you
Relaxation is one of my favorite reasons to take a bath. It is so relaxing! There is nothing better than a nice, warm tub of water and some candles, maybe a nice piece of dark chocolate… what a life!
Eases the mind
Not only does taking a bath relax your muscles, it relaxes your mind. While you’re taking a bath, you can temporarily let the day’s worries and troubles just melt away. Forget all your problems and let your mind rest while you take a bath.
A good, hot bath helps you to sweat out the toxins from your body. Toxins in your body can cause all sorts of health issues like chronic fatigue, insomnia, body odor, acne, eczema, poor digestion, constipation, memory loss, moodiness, even hormonal imbalances. So, taking a good bath to help sweat the toxins from your body could greatly improve your health.
A bath increases the blood flow
Taking a bath helps your blood flow by increasing the rate of nourishing blood cells to damaged tissue. With increased blood flow, you will have better cell growth and organ function. Your skin and most importantly your heart will also benefit.
Boosts immune system
Believe it or not, taking a bath can even help you boost immune system! Taking a bath stimulates your lymph nodes which, in turn, will help you lower your risk of colds and infection by encouraging the bacteria-destroying properties of your immune system. How about that for a reason to take a bath?
