Love your skin – Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!  My husband seems to think I get enough facials (not sure you can ever have enough facials but never mind), so I will be scoffing chocs later courtesy of St Valentine. Did you get anything special? Anything a bit different?

I hope you’ve received a little treat today but not to worry if not, just do what I do and order your own pamper kit and book your own facials! Let’s face it if we wait around for someone else to do it, chances are it’s not going to happen So what do we recommend here at SkinBase?

It really does depend on what your skin concerns are therefore we recommend you book a consultation with a skincare professional. They will be able to go through your concerns, perform a skin analysis and make recommendations based on that. This is a great time to grab an online consultation and you can have a plan in place ready for when lockdown ends and the salons opens. As a rough guide though, here are our recommendations;

Microdermabrasion

Fantastic for forehead lines and shallow superficial fine lines, microdermabrasion removes the outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal a fresh, glowing complexion. This treatment is progressive which means with each treatment in a course you will continue to see improvements. For that reason, it is very effective for acne and acne scarring, pigmentation and uneven skin tone. Microdermabrasion is a great treatment for refining skin tone and texture, it suits all ages with any of these skin concerns and if you are a bit older it’s great to prevent and improve the signs of skin ageing.

Collagen Lift

If you have loose, sagging skin or any skin that requires lifting or tightening then Collagen Lift is your best friend. This treatment uses radio frequency technology to tighten and tone the skin. It stimulates the production of new collagen and skin looks visibly lifted. It’s also fantastic for fine lines and wrinkles so if you are entering your 30s and beyond Collagen Lift will really help you to achieve a youthful complexion without needing to resort to fillers and injectables.

IPL Photorejuvenation

This is especially great for anyone whose skin is damaged from too much sun exposure.  IPL Photorejuvenation targets broken capillaries, brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles and also promotes skin healing and collagen production so it is the perfect option for sun-damaged skin that needs a rejuvenating boost to go with it.
