Well we are only a matter of days away from 2014, scary or what? But it’s also very exciting, I love making a resolution or two, and this year, I am going to try, and why don’t you too, to uphold some beauty resolutions to give ourselves the attention you deserve this year. Let’s do this!

Ditch the cigarettes

Smoking aint good for your beauty! It makes the skin look much duller and stains your teeth and nails. Instantly look five years younger by swapping cigarettes for nicotine gum or patches, and kick a habit that’s expensive and ugly. Go on, you can do it!

Cooler showers instead of hot ones

When it’s chilly outside, it it’s sooo tempting to have a boiling hot shower, especially but, unfortunately, they are not good for the skin. The heat blasts the moisture out of the skin, and leaves it dry and cracked. So instead, try taking a warm shower or if you can’t resist the heat, buy a good moisturiser and use it straight after to keep skin in good condition.

Leave the spots alone

While it isn’t pleasant, I know so many people that don’t think picking on pimples will affect their skin at all. Sadly, they are wrong. Not only can it spread the acne and make it up to five times worse, it can also scar the skin. If you are prone to break outs, try out a new product and make an active effort to keep your hands away from your face. If you’re eager to protect your skin, this is definitely one of the best New Year’s beauty resolutions for you.

Keep those nails nice

Being a nail biter, I always struggle with this! Your nails are seen by everyone, so make a good impression by giving yourself a manicure and keeping it looking good. Invest in a good manicure kit, including a base coat and top coat, and remember to apply the base coat under the nail too! Then keep a file in your handbag, and your nails will look gorgeous wherever you are.

Treat yourself to microdermabrasion with a SkinBase Facial™

If you want to get your skin in tiptop condition then why not give microdermabrasion a go? We all have days when our skin looks tired, dull and uneven.

Normally skin renews itself approximately every 28 days. By removing dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, The SkinBase Facial™ speeds up the rate at which the skin would normally renew itself – ridding you of tired and dull patches and revealing new, fresh skin and giving a radiant glow. Start the New Year as you mean to go on!
