How to Maintain That Summer Glow

If you’ve worked hard on transforming yourself into a beautiful, golden goddess for summer (safely of course!), you’ll probably want to maintain your new look into the colder months. A luminous bronzed look helps you to appear healthy and radiant. As the sun sets on summer, we are sharing our top tips on how to maintain that summer glow you’ve strived for.

Moisturise

To maintain tanned skin, the most effective method is to moisturise. Hydrating your skin with a beautiful moisturiser will help to nourish, soothe and prevent peeling. Remember to apply a separate moisturiser on your body and face. Your body requires a thicker texture than your face so opt for a butter formulation for your body and a lighter cream or gel on your face.

Enhance

Enhance your natural tan with a faux tanning product. A faux tan will deepen your natural colour and many of these products now last several days before fading. You could also use one-day glow products if you want to increase your tan for a special occasion – products with a gold shimmer look particularly luminous.

Exfoliation

A professional microdermabrasion treatment will help to extend and maintain your summer glow. Microdermabrasion is a progressive treatment that removes dead skin cells. This resurfaces the skin and stimulates blood flow to reveal healthy, glowing skin. A SkinBase microdermabrasion treatment is non-invasive so no downtime is required. Furthermore, cell renewal is encouraged so your skin appears more youthful.

An IPL or Intense Pulsed Light treatment is perfect for maintaining a stunning summer glow. Using differing wavelengths of light, this effective treatment reduces uneven pigmentation, redness, treats sun damage as well as fine lines and wrinkles so your skin looks smooth, even and luminous.
