Bright eyes, soft skin and perfect hair are things we’d all like to have, but it’s not always possible. What if there were simple overnight beauty tricks that could help us wake up feeling good and looking great? Well, you’re in luck! I’m sharing five overnight beauty tips that will have you feeling and looking like Sleeping Beauty when you wake up. The best part is that all of the magic happens while you slumber, giving a whole new meaning to the term ‘beauty sleep’.

1.) Softly softly

Sick of hard, rough skin on your feet? An overnight pampering treatment will be just the ticket! Before you sleep, simply apply Vaseline to the soles of your feet and put your socks on. The socks help bind the moisture to your feet and you’ll wake up to soft, smooth soles. With summer just round the corner your feet will thank you for it and all you’ll need is a pair of strappy sandals to show them off in all their glory…

2.) De-puff

There is nothing worse than waking up looking tired – puffy, swollen eyes sound familiar? To help prevent this, try adding an extra pillow and sleeping on your back instead of your front or side. This will allow the fluids around your eyes to drain easier and keep the puffiness to a minimum.  And don’t forget that eye creams, especially those with caffeine can be a real godsend and help drain the fluids.

3.) Making waves

If you’re pushed for time in the morning but dream of perfect hair which looks like you’ve made a real effort, try showering at night and style your hair before bed. Allow your strands to air dry until they’re damp, and run some light styling product through with your fingers. Depending on what style you prefer and your hair-type, you can either sleep with your hair twisted into buns or plaited. Don’t be afraid to experiment! This simple trick will help ensure bed hair never looked so good.

4.) Brighten

Sunlight can prevent face products that contain brightening ingredients like Vitamin C and retinol from working to their fullest potential and actually deactivate them, so best applied at night. This will also save you precious, much needed time in the morning.

5.) Lady lovely lashes

A DIY lash lengthening treatment sound good? Then it is time to purchase some castor oil. This natural oil is rich in super-hydrating omega-6 fatty acids, which help moisturise your lashes and prevent breakage. Gently apply the castor oil to your lashes each night. In the morning, just rinse with warm water and wash your face as usual. You should notice healthier lashes in just a few weeks.
