If you’re after clear skin this summer, you should really try tucking into some of these delicious fruits that you can easily pick up in your local supermarket! Most of these fruits can provide you with clear skin by either eating them or mashing them into a paste, rubbing them into your skin and wearing them as a mask. Read on to learn a few fruits to eat for clear skin.


Papaya is one of the sweetest fruits to eat for clear skin! It’s currently in season so make sure you’re stocking up at the local shops! Make a shake or smoothie with papaya in it to add some rich flavor, or eat it fresh to get the full benefits of this yummy little fruit.


Bananas are full of potassium, so they not only keep your skin clear, but they banish dark under eye circles too! I love to add bananas to my morning cereal or grab them as an on-the-go snack. Dried banana slices are perfect to throw into trail mix!

Pink Grapefruit

Pink grapefruit is full of a protective antioxidant called lycopene. Lycopene is great for your skin and serves to protect from free radical damage, and preserve youth to your skin. Scrubs or facial washes with pink grapefruit in them may be of some benefit if you’re not too fond of the fruit itself as it can be quite sour.


Citrus acid helps dry up oily residue, so it makes sense that citrus fruits would keep your skin clear! If you suffer from oily skin, oranges and lemons can be your new best friends. Besides eating them, rubbing pure citrus juice onto your face with a cotton ball once daily can eliminate oily skin and breakouts.


Mangoes are rich in beta-carotene, which is a form of vitamin A that helps protect against the sun and sun damage. This isn’t an excuse to stop wearing sunscreen, but a little more protection against sunspots never hurt anyone!
