Easy, Effective Homemade Recipes for Hormonal Skin

Hormonal breakouts are never fun. Luckily, there are a few natural ingredients (which you may find in your kitchen cupboard) you can use to relieve hormonal skin. Forget your skincare collection and head to your kitchen as you’ll want to try these easy, effective homemade recipes for hormonal skin.

Turmeric mask

Turmeric has been used in certain parts of the world for centuries due to its amazing anti-inflammatory effects. This turmeric mask is perfect for soothing troubled, hormonal skin.


  • One and a half teaspoons of turmeric
  • One teaspoon or raw honey
  • One tablespoon of coconut milk
  • Four drops or orange essential oil

Mix together the turmeric, honey and milk in a bowl and stir. Add the orange oil and stir again. Mix until a thin paste has formed. Apply to cleansed face and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Dead sea mud mask

This dead sea mud mask is perfect for detoxifying the skin, removing impurities, calming and healing.


  • One teaspoon dead sea mineral salt
  • Two teaspoons of kaolin clay
  • One tablespoon of natural yoghurt
  • One drop of tea tree oil
  • Water

Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. Add water until a medium texture has formed. Apply the mixture to the face and leave for ten minutes. Remove with warm water.

Tea tree mask

Use this mask if your skin is particularly blemished. Tea tree is famous for its anti-bacterial properties. This blend will help to soothe and calm blemished skin.


  • Four tablespoons of aloe vera gel
  • Two drops of tea tree oil
  • Half a peeled cucumber

Mix all the ingredients together and blend. Apply all over the complexion and leave for ten minutes. Gently remove with warm water or with a damp muslin cloth.
