Model behaviour: why microdermabrasion works for the stars
Whether you’re a fashion and beauty junkie, or you simply pass billboards and adverts on your trip to work each morning, you can’t help but notice that everywhere you look, the biggest catwalk trend this season is naturally glowing, radiant skin.
We want, we want, we want!
It isn’t just the models that have been sporting this beautiful (and frustrating) style that we’d all like to emanate, as lots of celebrities have been spotted with brighter skin recently too. Celebrities like Sienna Miller and Gwen Stefani are constantly on this bandwagon, and the Duchess of Cambridge is a classic example of those who look sickeningly healthy with their gorgeous, glowing skin.
How do they do it?!
If you want to achieve this look you could easily buy yourself some makeup to help in making your skin brighter in the mornings, but lets be honest, you’re just masking the problem and in some cases irritating your already stressed skin to behave in an even naughtier fashion.
Perhaps you’re lucky enough to be jetting off on holiday and treating your (SPF slathered skin!) to some beautifying Vitamin D? However, if St. Tropez is a little far fetched and if you want to keep yourself looking fresh throughout the day (month year…) without any effort at all you should really consider treatments that help your skin to naturally produce collagen and elastin, whilst giving it the chance to breath without caked on make up!
Microdermabrasion is the treatment of choice for so many people now because it actually improves the skins surface rather than simply masking the inpurities we all suffer from.
You only have to look at the before and afters and videos on the SkinBase site to see the people who are left feeling happier and more confident as a result of their ever-improving skin. Once only for celebrities and super models, the SkinBase microdermabrasion facial is proven to dramatically reduce wrinkles, pesky fine lines, acne and acne scarring. It’s easy to be sceptical over any beauty treatments, but I’m living proof that my own uneven skin has been literally transformed by SkinBase microdermabrasion.
You can check out exactly how it work here, but in short each treatment takes just 30 minutes (you can be back at your desk before your lunch break is even over!) and within that time you’ll have a jet of fine abrasive crystals passed over your skin. Dead skin particles will be abraded away and a vacuum action will remove the debris. This dual action will both resurface the skin and stimulate the blood flow, encouraging the skin to rejuvenate itself and produce collagen and elastin. After passing across the skin area once, the therapist will then target problem areas like open pores, pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes and acne scarring. (If you want to know exactly what else it treats see here!)
From your first treatment you’ll notice the difference (just feel how soft your skin is and how beautifully make up glides on!) and you’ll see that your skin appears fresher, smoother and plumper.
Treat yourself to fruit, vegetables, exercise, sun protection and regular microdermabrasion if you want to care for you skin – it really is a sign of your age and lifestyle!
Glowing skin? No problem!
