So…it’s a very exciting time for me. I’ve been asked to be bridesmaid for my bestest friend and I can’t wait! It’s approximately three months until the big day and as many brides do, she recently went for her make up trial to agree exactly how she wants her make up to look on the big day. She was thrilled with the results and I must say she looked absolutely stunning – very proud best friend, really can’t wait to see her in her dress on the wedding day!

One thing she did notice though was that her skin probably wasn’t looking as good as it could do. The make up artist recommended making sure that in the weeks leading up to the big day, she drinks lots of water every day, as it is so so beneficial to the skin – read more about the power of water in one of our previous blogs.

She also mentioned the benefits of microdermabrasion and the amazing impact it can have on your skin. My friend has now had a couple of treatments and the results are remarkable. Her skin is going to look radiant and naturally beautiful on her special day which I know means a lot to her and her confidence, especially when it comes to the wedding pics!

Which got me thinking, there must be other brides, and grooms for that matter, out there considering treatments to get their skin in tip top condition for one of the most important day of their lives.

So… you might be thinking, what is microdermabrasion and what can it do for me?

Well, the SkinBase microdermabrasion Facial™ works by intensely exfoliating and resurfacing the skin. During the facial, a fine jet of abrasive crystals gently removes dead skin cells layer by layer and a vacuum action lifts away the debris, stimulating the blood flow and encouraging collagen and elastin formation that results in firmer, revitalised and youthful looking skin. Acne scars are reduced, fine lines and wrinkles become less obvious and dull and tired skin is completely banished – sometimes after just one treatment.

Effects are usually seen after the first treatment, with ongoing improvements seen week after week during a course. Your SkinBase therapist will advise you on the number of treatments during your consultation session which depends on a number of factors such as severity of acne scarring, size and depth of the vessels and the location to be treated.

But, don’t just take our word for it though; why not take a look at our before and after pics to see how others benefited from The SkinBase Facial™?

And, last but not least girlies – don’t forget the fella!

Microdermabrasion is especially great for the Groom in the run up to the wedding. He is unlikely to be having his makeup done the morning of the wedding so The SkinBase Facial™  will help to improve his skin tone, remove blackheads and impurities and get rid of the dreaded stubble rash. Oh… and if that’s not enough he will be glowing and radiant too.

If you are getting married, the team at SkinBase wish you a very happy wedding day and a huge congratulations from all of us!
