You were once quoted as ‘exercising and eating right’ – what does that mean to you?
To me, eating right means not being obsessed over food, so I don’t think about it too much. I like eating healthy; it just makes me feel better and if I’m craving anything ‘bad’, I’ll have it – just not everyday. When I’m travelling a lot, I don’t have too much time to work out, but when I do, usually in Tel Aviv, I feel so much better. I’m more energetic and happier!
If you work out, how do you stay motivated? Is it about finding a class, teacher or training method that works for you, or all about maintenance – I.e. Just doing a little bit everyday and making it fit around you?
I think that when you first start working out, it’s hard to keep getting yourself to the gym. But after a few times, you feel your body change, your energy changes and you go because you know the feeling at the end of a workout! And of course, the trainer is super important! You need one that will keep it interesting for you!
Do you mix up your training methods – a little bit of Krav Maga, yoga, core training or horse riding, for example?
I like to keep active. So I surf and I paddle board.. But my main workout right now is TRX which I’m so excited about! It’s a unique type of workout which really tones your body. I can’t do the yoga stuff…. It’s a little boring for me.
Do you ever workout with friends?
I prefer not too. When I get myself in the gym, I want to give my all 100%. When friends are around, I joke around and I am not focused as I am alone.
When you’re travelling do you use DVDs or apps to train to?
When I’m travelling, I’m too tired… I travel, get to a hotel, go to a studio and off to the next place. I workout mostly in my down time when I’m not working. But if I’m in an interesting place and have a day off I’ll walk around the whole city, so that will be my workout.
What’s the best body beautiful tip you were given backstage or on a shoot for photo perfect skin?
Different make artists like different products that they recommend. But at the end of the day, the best tip is to drink a lot of water and rest. Oh, and DO NOT go drinking the night before a shoot!
How do you always stay looking so fabulous when you’re travelling so much?
When I’m in the loop of travelling and I don’t stop, I don’t feel the jet lag and exhaustion anymore, so I don’t look like I’m too tired because I’m not. When I stop for a little bit and then start again, it’s a little harder to remain looking fresh.
And what’s your signature look for a party – do you concentrate on your hair, skin or make up?
I’m pretty easy with hair and make up. I don’t like my hair too done and I prefer natural make up… I would say when your skin looks radiant and glows, and you combine it with a good smile, you can’t go wrong.
How do you get that gleaming skin on your body when you’re on the red carpet?
I use whatever body lotion the make up artist have. No secrets there.
What’s in your party clutch bag?
I have a Prada nude clutch that serves me very well; it fits everything and matches everything! It’s always in my suitcase.
Who do you go to for your signature shiny hair?
My hairdresser in Israel, Itzik Sabbag. I’m been with him since I was 15 and never, ever has anyone else cut or colored my hair. A few times, I’ve had an emergency and needed to get my roots done – he came to wherever I was to help!
What’s your favourite perfume and why – and do you have one for day and one for night?
My favourite perfume is Especially Escada because the smell puts a smile on my face – it’s so gentle and delicate but very elegant. It smells clean and feminine. I don’t have one for day and one for night. I like when people have a signature smell.
Do you always wear perfume – and any tips on how and where to wear it?
I do always wear perfume; that’s why I prefer gentle ones that smell fresh and clean. I put it on my wrist, neck and last spritz on my clothes from far away – my brother’s ex-girlfriend used to put hers on the top of her hair because he was so much taller than her – that’s the place that was closest to him!
